Is it alot of the time, that teens have messy cars? Its just something someone said. Like that some teens are messy. If ur a teen and have a messy car, whats in it? Dirt, does it smell, etc? |
| well my car has a lot of stuff in it. I wouldn't say that it is dirty but I have a lot of clothes and school stuff in it. It does smell sometimes because of my football stuff. I think that a lot of teens cars are messy because its a place to store things and they dont have to spend very much time in it so they dont even realize how messy it is. |
Why do teens go through the faze of a messy room? Whats up with that? Does the cleaning part of the brain just die at a certian age? Then come back to life?
By the way, I'm not saying all teens. I'm just saying a vast majority of them. |
| They have better things to do with their time. Life is short. why clean something if it's just going to get messy again. |
If I allow my teens to keep theirs rooms totally messy and disorganized will they ever learn cleanliness ? I keep our house very nice, but the teen rooms are out of control. I keep their doors closed. They refuse to clean their rooms and I don't feel I should have to do it. What should I do? I want them to learn to be neat! Am I doing them harm by allowing them to keep their rooms in such disarray? (Example: Washed and dirty clothes stuffed in closets and under the bed. Clothes on floor. Trash laying around. Empty plates and wrappers) Gross!! |
| all these people are stupid. you can make them keep a clean room. Im 19, i dont live at home anymore, but i was always taught profound respect for our home. my room was NEVER dirty. and i would hate this rule, but now that i live on my own, im not messy at all. i just hate being messy now. cleaning and keeping a room organized is very important. and i always find it appauling when parents dont know waht to do. my parents never had a problem. they never asked me to clean my room, it was understood. If i didnt i would get punished, be more strict in that matter. dont let them go out, take away there tvs, cell phones, radio, allowance, exc. until they maintain a clean room. my sister once refused to clean and she had to stay in her room unitl it was clean, no joke. your guys dont do it because they dont really have consequences. theyll handle you complaining, trustme. |
Teens and Messy rooms! ? I need a statistic on teens and messy rooms. Please give me accurate information, nothing made up.
Ex. __% Of teens have messy rooms.
Ex. __ out of __ teens have messy rooms.
Thanks in advance! :) |
| It depends on how you define 'messy,' but by average standards, from a poll found in Housekeeping magazine, 73% of teens have messy rooms, which means 73/100 teens have messy rooms. |
Why are certain teens and 18 year olds so proud, of dressing up so messy? I just graduated high school, and in my senior class we voted who were the 2 best dressed students (in the senior class).
We voted for a girl student and a guy student. The girl student who won was always neatly dressed, but the guy student dressed like a homeless dirty gangster. He never wore anything, that fitted him properly. His clothes always hanged off of him, like they were way to big on him. He only wore donated clothes, the were way to worn to be on someone's body. Most of the senior class called that "Best Dressed." I voted for myself, because I wear clothes that are in style. I wear bottoned-down shirts, good-looking long pants, and decent looking tee-shirts. Well then shoes.
Why are certain 18 year olds and teens, turned on by others who dress messy? What is your opinion? |
some ppl think thats cool for some reason. I guess thats the new style which i personally do not get bc I mean who wants that? i like guys who wear stuff like you, not baggy anything you could find clothes. nice job and keep up the good work!! ;)
ps, I guess the world will never know .... |
Cute messy hair styles for teens? I want to know how to put my hair in a messy up do.

You could put your hair up in a ponytail.
And then put that little hump thing.
and then tease it.
To make it look messy.
or wear your hair down.
and tease it or something.
Or go onto google and google it
a bunch of pictures and ways how to do it
will pop up.
Or youtube it.
Good luck
Hope i helped. |
How to deal with teens messy room? my teen keeps her room like a pig sty, to the point it has is becoming unhygienic, i have tried different approaches to get her to tidying it but none seems to work,
i have tried just leaving her to get on with it
taking her privileges away from her if she dosent
told her that it is affecting our mother and daughter relationship, as i feel as if i am constantly getting at her because of her room
just plain shouting at her
this has been going on for over two years and i am at my wits end, i can tolerate a bit of mess but because the room is so nasty and unclean the rest of the house feels dirty
any ideas? |
| to be honest, i was exactly the same with my room. the only way i started to clean was when i got my laptop/internet taken off me, or my pocket money taken away, being grounded etc. but dont suddenly start taking everything at once just say "if you don't clean your room by the end of tomorrow you won't go out at the weekend" or whatever, something like that. or just say please can you tidy a little bit (not all at once). good luck. |
Why are teens rooms constantly messy? i am doing an english oral on teenagers and can't find out the scientific reason why. :) |
I don't think it's just laziness. I read that a teenager's brain is different from an adults - they're more egocentric (sorry!), and the part that controls rational thought isn't completely developed until your 20's. So where an adult would see tidying a room as a necessity (no one wants to be seen as a slob, right?) a teenager would more often completely disregard it. It's simply not important to them.

That's along the same sort of lines..... Rebellion, messy room.... kind of same thing, lol! You might find some of those articles useful for your presentation, all about teenager's brains.
parenting.families.com /blog/why-does-your-teen -have-a-messy-room
This article points out that messy rooms could be a teenagers way of expressing themselves; the transition to adulthood, afterall, is all about learning who you are. (Ignore the fact that she keeps going on about "guyren" - yeah, I found it condescending too).
Good luck on the presentation, hope either of those explanations help you. :-)

Edit:
Sorry about the links, yahoo kept on cutting them off as a 'long sentence'. Copy and paste, then take out the spaces I've added.
Also, just read answer by 'elsiersmith'.
Err. You're not the only teen who has a job?
Sorry, but I found your answer really condescending. How does 'understanding the value of money' have anything - anything at all - to do with the scientific reason behind teenagers having a messy room? It really didn't answer the question. You basically just bragged about how great you are, then even said you hoped you helped... I really don't get it. |
I have two teens that keep a messy room. How do I get them to clean? please help.....? messy just won't clean. |
| Stop doing their laundry, close the doors and leave them to their pig stys. Cleanliness is training that begins when they are toddlers At this age you need to get tough. |
